孩子看电视的问题曾在世界范围内引起争论：究竟电视带给孩子的利大于弊还是弊大于利？有人作过统计：一个儿童平均每天看两小时电视，到中学毕业时，他在电视机前已度过了1万～1.5万个小时。以每天上课时间6小时算，则相当于5年零9个月在校学习时间。这个时间比例是相当大的。
