The debate between translatability and untranslatability has been around for a long time. Translatability holds that translation is possible and that all ideas and concepts can be expressed in every language that exists in humanity. Non-translatability that the real translation is impossible, language and culture are two major factors that affect translation. This paper intends to discuss the translatability limit of the traditional Chinese poems haiku from the aspects of poetry form, rhetoric method and cultural load vocabulary, and concludes that the poetry rhyme can be expressed by adding words and adding explanations.
