一、果园覆草的方法、时间和种类覆草分全园覆草和树盘覆草两种。全园覆草适合于已经郁蔽不能间作果园;树盘覆草适用于还能间作或草源不足的果园。覆草厚度一般20厘米左右。树盘覆草要盖到树冠外缘。覆草前深翻、浇水,株施氮肥0.2～0.5公斤,以利蓄水保墒和满足微生物分解有机质时对氮素的要求。覆草最好在麦收后,此时地温已高,草源充足,覆草后有利于分解和腐熟。各种作物桔杆、杂草、树叶等均可用于覆草。
