After 17 days of assessment, more than 22,000 people participated in the 2003 Shanghai Piano Exam has been successfully concluded. The piano grading test, organized by the Shanghai Musicians Association Piano Professional Committee, has reached the 17th year. The number of applicants has grown from the initial hundred to nearly 20,000 or above. As in previous years, the Piano Examinations in 2003 have seen new improvements over the previous year as a whole.
