Objective To conduct a quantitative survey of AIDS knowledge and attitude among police officers in a female labor camp, and to discuss the related influencing factors. Methods An anonymous self-administered questionnaire survey was conducted. As a result, the awareness rate of AIDS knowledge among police officers was between 64.5% and 100.0%. Nearly 70% of police officers contributing to condoms in labor camps believe that the efforts are too small. Discrimination against people living with HIV is still more serious: One-quarter of police officers think that people who are infected should be released to avoid contact with them, and they are reluctant to work with the families of infected people or find ways to turn away the infected people in the custodial custody. The police officers also accounted for 1/4 of the total, and about 40% of the police officers indicated that they did not want to work with those infected. Conclusion The survey results reflect to a certain extent the effectiveness of the AIDS publicity and education for police officers in reeducation labor camps in recent years. However, it is still necessary to guide police officers and even the whole society to treat people living with HIV in a correct manner and reduce or eliminate discrimination.
