泛道德化批判是将非伦理现象伦理化后再用理想主义、甚至是双重的标准进行道德评判的一种批判方式。批判对象的泛化、批判标准的理想化和批判方法上的特称判断全称化导致怀疑论和悲观论蔓延。唯物史观的缺乏是泛道德化批判思维的方法论根源;儒家德性论和德治论传统是泛道德化批判思维的历史文化基因;道德的广泛渗透性和社会文明的窗口功能使道德批判成为其他批判的前奏,在一定程度上助推了泛道德化批判;随着物质生活需要的相对满足,幸福的意义更依赖于道德,人们对道德生活有了更高的企盼,这是泛道德化批判思维形成的重要社会背景。
