SEP由英国BAE系统公司研制,有轮式和履带式两种类型,是英军“未来快速反应系统”(FRES)的一个组成部分。该车最大特点是采用了电传动,而且履带式车辆采用了橡胶带式履带,降低了重量。“狐猴”遥控武器站由BAE系统公司瑞典博福斯防护公司研制,可安装一挺1 2.7毫米机枪或者一具40毫米榴弹发射器。光电传感器包括CCD摄像机、红外热像仪、激光测距机,也可根据需要加装导弹瞄准仪等设备,其装甲能防护炮弹破片和轻武器的打击。
Developed by BAE Systems UK, wheeled and tracked, SEP is an integral part of the British “Rapid Response Systems” (FRES). The biggest feature of the car is the use of electric transmission, and crawler-type vehicles with a rubber belt track, reducing weight. “Lemur ” remote weapon station developed by the BAE Systems company Bofors Protection Sweden, can install a 1 2.7 mm machine gun or a 40 mm grenade launcher. Photoelectric sensors, including CCD cameras, thermal imaging cameras, laser range finder, but also can be equipped with missile sights and other equipment as needed, the armor can protect shells and light weapons attack.
