激光快速打印机作为计算机的输出设备有许多突出的优点。它速度快,可以由每秒打印几千个字符直至每秒几万个字符,较目前通用的宽行机械打印机(普通每秒几百至一千字符)工效提高十多倍乃至几十倍。这项研究工作在国外也是近几年的事,现已有几个国家和公司制成产品。国内尚处于开始阶段,上海汉字信息处理系统曾在激光传真机的基础上实现了和计算机的联调。我校激光研究室在研制声光器件的基础上于1977年底利用多线扫描技术完成了计算机字符输出原理实验。在毛玻璃屏上快速(1万字符/秒)循环显示了计算机常用的64 Laser printer as a fast computer output device has many outstanding advantages.
