The Bestobell Swirling Particle Size Analyzer accurately determines the percentage of solids in the flowing slurry that is above the nominal particle size. When the slurry passes the hydrocyclone under tightly controlled conditions, the instrument uses a new principle that correlates the relative concentration of the input and output streams to the particle size. A sample of 2 liters / second (about 25 gallons / minute) is fed into the constant head unit and the vortex exhaust. This means that the slurry passes through the meter under constant pressure and essentially airless conditions.
