南京市第二十八中学座落在南京水西门内,“金陵第一胜迹”朝天宫旁。1931年9月,叶绍棠等人创办了二十八中的前身冶城中学。1951年9月,学校与培育中学、大雄中学合并,定名为城西中学。1956年6月,经南京市政府批准,私立城西中学改为公办中学,命名为南京市第二十八中学。1974年、2004年民族中学和三十七中学先后并入我校。
Nanjing twenty-eighth high school is located in Nanjing Shui Ximen, “Jinling first victory ” Chaotian Palace next. In September 1931, Ye Shaotang et al. Founded the school of Yecheng, the predecessor of twenty-eight. In September 1951, the school merged with Nurturing High School and Daxiong High School and named it Chengxi High School. In June 1956, approved by Nanjing Municipal Government, Private Chengxi Middle School was changed to a public high school and named as the 28th Nanjing Middle School. In 1974, 2004 National Middle School and thirty-seven secondary schools have been incorporated into our school.
