屠格涅夫(1813—1883)是19世纪俄罗斯卓越的现实主义作家。他以文学创作为毕生事业,在长期的思想艺术探索中,为世界文学做出了重要贡献。福楼拜、龚古尔、莫泊桑、左拉、契诃夫、高尔基等都对屠格涅夫的小说艺术表示高度赞赏。其中,不少名家以直接师从屠格涅夫为荣。 屠格涅夫生于俄国中部奥廖尔省一个富有的贵族地主家庭。他的童年几乎无幸福可言。双亲苛刻而自私,对孩子、对仆人一样刻薄无情。从很小的时候起,屠格涅夫就看到了农奴制社会最丑恶的一面。而他的同情,总是给予那些受苦难受压迫者。他9岁那年,父母移居莫斯科,随后迁往彼得堡。
Turgenev (1813-1883) was a remarkable realist writer of the 19th century in Russia. He took literary creation as his lifelong career and made important contributions to world literature in the long-term exploration of the art of thought. Flaubert, Goncourt, Maupassant, Zola, Chekhov and Gorky all highly appreciate Turgenev’s novel art. Among them, many famous artists directly from Turgenev proud. Turgenev was born in a rich aristocratic landowner family in Orel province in central Russia. His childhood is almost no happiness at all. Harsh and selfish parents, as children, servant equally unrelenting. From an early age, Turgenev saw the ugliest aspect of serfdom. His sympathy is always given to those who suffer and are oppressed. At the age of nine, his parents moved to Moscow before moving to Petersburg.
