This paper describes the principle of the improved sodium spectral line inversion method for measuring the transient temperature distribution of muzzle flash gas flow and the measuring device we built. The system’s temperature measurement range of 1000-3000K, the time resolution up to 20μs, temperature measurement accuracy of better than 2%.
