对中国雕塑的当下表现,学术界的总体评价并不乐观,由于问题背景和参照系不同,学术界的评价与雕塑界对自身的评价并不完全一致,但无论如何,一个学科要发展,就应该时时面对和反思自己的问题,这应该是我们讨论雕塑问题的出发点。限于篇幅,在这里我想讨论两个问题:一是西式雕塑作为外来文化与中国本土文化和民族雕塑传统的关系问题;二是雕塑与公众关系的问题。我认为,重要的不是二者的对立,而是思考这个问题的思想方式有问题,这对目前中国雕塑的影响可能更大。近百年,从西方引入的雕塑经过了几代中国雕塑家的学习、改造、融合,如果还把它们当做“非我族类”的雕塑,似乎已
As for the current performance of Chinese sculpture, the overall academic evaluation is not optimistic. Due to the different background and frame of reference, the academic evaluation and the sculpture industry are not completely consistent with their own evaluation. However, in any case, if a subject is to be developed, We should always face and reflect on our own problems. This should be the starting point for us to discuss the issue of sculpture. Due to space limitations, I would like to discuss two issues here: First, the relationship between foreign-style culture and the traditions of Chinese native culture and national sculpture; and second, the relationship between sculpture and the public. In my opinion, what matters is not the opposition between the two but the way of thinking in thinking about the problem, which may have a greater impact on the present Chinese sculpture.
