被告人马红妹,女,54岁,捕前系广东省汕尾市人民政府副市长、广东省第八届和汕尾市第二届人大代表。广东省人民检察院1997年11月24日对马红妹涉嫌贪污受贿立案侦查;广东省人大和汕尾市人大分别于1997年11月24日26日、罢免其人大代表资格。省院侦查终结后,交汕尾市人民检察院审查起诉。1998年3月31日汕尾市人民检察院向汕尾市中级人民法院提起公诉。起诉书认定
Ma Hongmei, a 54-year-old defendant, was the deputy mayor of Shanwei Municipal People’s Government before catching up, the 8th representative of Guangdong Province and the second session of the NPC of Shanwei City. On November 24, 1997, Guangdong Provincial People’s Procuratorate investigated and prosecuted Ma Hongmei for embezzlement and bribery. Guangdong Provincial People’s Congress and Shanwei Municipal People’s Congress dismissed their NPC deputies respectively on November 24 and 26, 1997. After the end of the provincial investigation, pay the Shanwei People’s Procuratorate for examination and prosecution.
