Although there are still significant uncertainties about some important parameter values, geoscientists also agree that the fault obeys the power law scale. The combination of these power-law scale relations and the law of power-law subscale shows that the fault length can be used as a scale for the recurrence interval of an intra-plate earthquake. Using local data to calibrate regional scale data, a seismic risk assessment method in a specific area can be obtained. The scale data of small faults (faults that have not penetrated seismogenic faults) indicate that the recurrence interval of earthquakes varies according to the law of negative power of fault length. Due to the uncertainties in the recently recognized large-scale seismic scale law, it is unclear whether the recurrence interval of earthquakes varies according to the negative power of the fault length or the positive power law for large faults (faults that cross the seismogenic fault) This problem is crucial for earthquake risk assessment.
