Lung Ying-tai, a well-known public intellectual in Taiwan, describes what she understands as “Hong Kong Spirit” in his book “@She Wan Trail No. 25”: ten thousand people eat potted vegetables under clear sky, or five Thousands of people are happy with tea making and listening to music; or four thousand people are crying and laughing together in the open air under the stars. When Hong Kong was seen in the world, not only the monotype hotels and commercial buildings, not only the cold and indifferent architecture, it really is “world class ” “Hong Kong spirit ” right? In the Victoria Park tennis court, I Met Yang Qian, Huang Enliang and Jane white grace. They are not only Hong Kong tennis players, but also real Hong Kong people. I heard a lot of stories from them and from them, I saw what Long Yingtai said portrayed as “the spirit of Hong Kong with a connotation and a person’s character.”
