这期《今日海南》出版之时,正是党的十七大盛大举行之日。值此,本刊推出最后一期“迎接十七大”专栏,下期继之以“贯彻十七大”内容为交替。党的十六大以来,海南省委在党中央的正确领导下,坚持以邓小平理论和“三个代表”重要思想为指导,认真贯彻党的十六大和十六届三中、四中、五中、六中全会精神,全面贯彻落实科学发展观,团结带领全省各族人民紧紧围绕在创新中加快海南发展的工作主题,深入推进改革开放,大力调整经济结构,着力发展社会事业,持续推进党的执政能力和先进性建设,开创了全省经济、政治、文化、社会和党的建设的新局面,推动海南进入了又好又快发展的新时期。为了反映海南省委带领全省各族人民取得各方面的成绩,本刊从年初就开始策划每期推出一组“迎接十七大”的深度报道,以此迎接十七大的召开。在最后这期“迎接十七大”专栏里,我们特别推出本刊记者采写的《天涯回响的强音——十六大以来中央重大决策在海南的实践》和《实干惠民的情怀——海南省委省政府落实科学发展观构建和谐社会纪实》两篇报道,从“理论实践”和“执政为民”的两大角度,对十六大以来海南省委、省政府的执政实践进行回望展示,以此祝贺党的十七大胜利召开!
