“Soviet Academy of Sciences Report” Volume 242, Issue 3, 1979, published an article entitled “Increasing aftershock flux is a precursor to strong earthquakes” published by Kerellis Bullock and others, and is extracted as follows (Figures and literature in the text Are slightly): 1. Earthquakes that cause anomalous aftershocks are precursors to another, stronger earthquake. This hypothesis stems from the study of some earthquake catalogs. Aftershocks are generally ruled out as ordinary phenomena when analyzing seismic sequences. If our hypotheses are correct, they are rather important in predicting strong earthquakes.
