The “Regulations on Chinese Medicine of the People’s Republic of China” (hereinafter referred to as “Chinese Medicine Ordinance”) was promulgated on April 7 this year and will come into effect on October 1. This is a major event in China’s health industry and a milestone in the history of China’s development of traditional Chinese medicine, marking the beginning of a new stage of comprehensive management and development of Chinese medicine. Since the Third Plenary Session of the Eleventh Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the legal system of Chinese medicine has made considerable progress. “The development of modern medicine and Chinese traditional medicine” is enshrined in the Constitution.
