《管子·牧民》比较集中和充分地体现了中国社会在农业时代的结构特点和发展规律。国颂之道:务在四时、仓廪实、知礼节和荣辱之间的辩证关系,体现着农业时代的生产力、生产关系、上层建筑之间的辩证关系。四维之作用性,表现为积极的反作用和消极的反作用。四顺之主体性在于民心向背,在于人民群众是历史的创造者。士经之具体规律性表现为治国理政的具体政策和措施,具有微观性和可操作性。五亲六法之抽象规律性则体现为治国安民基本原则,具有宏观性和指导性。其原理对当下中国社会的发展具有一定的借鉴意义。
