Japan has already operated 45 nuclear power stations by April 1995, and its power generation accounts for about 30% of Japan’s total generating capacity. In order to ensure the safety of nuclear power plants, inspections and overhauls of nuclear power plant equipment must be carried out frequently. In order to reduce the labor intensity of workers and reduce contact with nuclear facilities, Toshiba Institute of Atomic Energy Japan developed a robot for use in the nuclear industry. They are divided into: monorail inspection robots, ground mobile operations, inspection robots, operating robots and underwater swimming inspection robot, the following general introduction to these high-performance robots.
