纵观近几十年中外桥梁的发展情况,各国对桥梁结构型式、建筑材料、施工技术、设计理论等的不断研究和创新,推动了桥梁工程技术的飞跃发展。世界桥梁的发展是朝着大跨度、新材料、新工艺、新理念的方向发展,而新材料的发展将显得的尤为重要,要想桥跨越来越大,则必须要有轻质、高强度和高模量的材料出现。当今中国正当大力发展基础设施建设,高速铁路、高等级公路的建设必将推动桥梁工程的跨越式发展。
