口碑研究五十周年学者关于口碑的定义有12种之多,西方学者最早从1967年更加深入研究口碑,并对口碑做出定义,迄今算来,口碑研究刚好50周年。在中国的《五元灯会》卷十七中,就有“劝君不用携顽石,路上行人口似碑”这样的诗句,对口碑做出形象的解释。《五元灯会》成书时间为1252年。定义既有从原始行为角度出发,又有从传播学、社会学、心理学、营销学等等角度出发,有同有异,大同小异。
