周恩来作为新中国第一任总理,主政26年,鞠躬尽瘁,人民群众对他有一种特殊的敬仰和爱戴。马寅初说:“周恩来总理是最得民心的中国共产党员。”作为一名共产党员,他得到了全国人民几乎最为广泛、普遍的认同和尊敬。个中缘由,在于他一心为民、劳苦功高,更在于他大公无私、品德高尚。周恩来的大公无私,是始终坚持党性原则,一切为人民群众的利益着想,毫无自私自利之心。作为全国人民的当家人,他从未为自己、为亲属谋过任何私利。
As the first prime minister of new China, Zhou Enlai has been in power for 26 years and spared no effort in his endeavor. The people have a special respect and love for him. Ma Yinchu said: “Premier Zhou Enlai is the most popular member of the Chinese Communist Party.” As a communist, he received almost the most extensive and universal recognition and respect from all over the country. One of the reasons is that he wholeheartedly for the people, work hard, but also that he is selfless, noble character. The unselfishness of Zhou Enlai always upholds the principle of party spirit, all for the sake of the people and the general public, and has no selfish heart. As a family member of the people throughout the country, he never sought any personal gain for himself or his relatives.
