长庆油田公司采油二厂地处陇东高原,组建于1971年,是甘肃省境内最大的石油生产基地,庆阳市第一纳税大户,省“双十工程”骨干企业。建厂34年来,累计生产原油3100多万吨。特别是在中国石油天然气集团公司改制、长庆油田公司经营机制和管理机制发生重大调整的情况下,该厂党委因势利导,根据自身发展快、机制新、人员新的特点,创造性地开展党的基层建设工作,确保党员的先进性,有力地促进采油二厂持续快速发展。2004年原油产量历史性地突破200万吨大关,跨入全国特大型采油厂之列,建成了具有国内低渗透油田一流开发水平的百万吨级西峰油田,为长庆油田的发展壮大和陇东老区经济建设做出了重要贡献。
