纯石英芯多模光纤是美国Spectran公司产品记录表所介绍的一种新产品。它能传输激光外科(如泌尿、皮肤、心脏等)所需的大功率、短波长激光。这种耐辐照全玻璃光纤还适合于许多其它的应用,包括压力和温度传感、遥控分光仪和定向爆破。该公司现有的标准纤芯尺寸为100～600μm,除此之外,还有其它一些尺寸。掺氟玻璃被覆可使全玻璃光纤的工作温度范围和最大输出功率远优于聚合物被覆光纤。spectran公司的光纤是经过100％合格检验,以确保光纤的可靠性。
