Looking forward to 2009, overcapacity, declining external demand, declining costs and sluggish domestic demand will be the major trends. In the medium and long term, the key to the steady and rapid development of the industry lies in whether the technology-driven and domestic-demand-driven based on independent innovation can really make a breakthrough and gradually become the major force in promoting industrial development.
