随着社会日趋信息化，电传通信的作用愈来愈突出了。本文介绍了日本最大的私营企业──日本东芝公司的通信网络系统。这个系统是以东京总公司为中心的经国内、外３１处中继站把设在世界各地约１７０处的东芝营业所联结起来的世界规模的私营信息通信网络系统。 其中，着重介绍了日本国内、外系统的可用机器、通信种类和优点，最后提出通信网络的发展方向。
As society becomes more information-oriented, the role of telex has become increasingly prominent. This article describes Japan’s largest private sector ─ ─ Japan’s Toshiba’s communications network system. This system is a world-scale private information and communication network system that connects around Tokyo headquarters with about 31 Toshiba offices around the world through 31 domestic and overseas relay stations. Among them, the available machines and communication types and advantages of Japan’s domestic and foreign systems are highlighted. Finally, the development direction of the communication network is proposed.
