现代液压传动系统的故障多由油液污染而引起。如油液中固体颗粒的存在,导致液压元件的过度磨损,增加泄漏或由于污物堵塞、卡死使系统失灵等。目前,液压系统油液污染管理在国外已经高度重视。美国俄克拉何马州流体动力中心认为:液压传动技术发展的主要标志,是要使系统和元件都能达到原设计的可靠性和寿命,而油液的污染控制对取得这个目标来说是头等重要的。
