Abstract Objective To evaluate the reproducibility of trabecular bone fraction (TBS) in vivo by dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DXA) in different imaging modalities and to compare with the BMD. Methods Three kinds of imaging modalities, rapid array, array and high definition, were selected. There were 30 patients in each mode. DXA examination was performed twice in each patient and repositioning was performed between examinations.
