在采用电磁吸盘磨削工件时,由于工件的外形关系,有时候就不能把工件直接放在吸盘上,而需要使用电磁垫块。电磁垫块是用紫铜棒将磁极与隔磁条铆合而成的(图1)。垫块的磁极宽度与平面磨床电磁吸盘的磁极宽度相同。使用时,将该电磁垫块置于电磁吸盘上,注意使其磁极和电磁吸盘的磁极相对应;再把工件放在电磁垫块上,然后打开电磁吸盘的吸合开关,即可进行磨削(图2)。使用电磁垫块可以简化磨削前的准备工作,缩短辅助时间。例如,磨削冷冲模的凸模刃口就不需将它从上模座上拆下来,而可将它直接放在电磁垫
