偶极子横波测井仪接收器为一四极子接收源, 即可视为方向互相垂直的两个偶极子接收器, 当垂直分量信号的振幅式能量为0 或最小时, 平行分量信号反映地层快、慢横波的传播特征。四分量旋转变换法利用该原理对偶极横波成像测井(DSI) 记录的偶极横波资料进行处理, 在各向异性的地层中, 通过分离出的快、慢横波的时差和波至时间, 计算出地层各向异性系数, 评价地层各向异性。实际资料处理结果表明快、慢横波的时差和到达时间可有效显示地层的各向异性。
