潘汉年1906年1月12日出生于江苏省宜兴县陆平村。他自幼在父亲的私塾里读“四书五经”,后入宜兴县立第三高等小学、和桥彭城中学、武进延陵公学读书。1922年到宜兴县城励进社小学任教,参加进步文学团体《宜兴评论》社的活动,并为该报写稿。1923年,一些诗作和论文在上海《时事新报》副刊《学灯》、《民国日报》 Pan Hannian was born on January 12, 1906 in Luping Village, Yixing County, Jiangsu Province. He was in his father’s private school in his “Four Books and Five Classics”, after entering Yixing County third advanced primary school, and bridge Pengcheng middle school, Wujin Yanling school. In 1922, he taught in Yixing County Chengli Primary School, participated in the activities of the progressive literature group “Yixing Review” and wrote a draft for the newspaper. In 1923, a number of poems and essays were published in Shanghai Supplementary to Current Affairs Newspaper, “Xue Deng”, “Republic Daily”
