2015年初在北京召开的“马铃薯主粮化发展战略研讨会”上,农业部副部长余欣荣指出,马铃薯主粮化开发,是深入贯彻中央关于促进农业调结构、转方式和可持续发展的重要举措,是新形势下保障国家粮食安全、促进农民持续增收的积极探索。预计到2020年,50%以上的马铃薯将作为主粮消费。在不挤占3大主粮的前提下,因地制宜扩大马铃薯的种植面积,由目前的533.3万多hm~2(8000多万亩)扩大到1000万hm~2(1.5亿亩),产量提高到30 t/hm~2以上。
