隐喻是语言中必不可少的一部分,隐喻的这种普遍性特点决定了在英语教学中必须关注隐喻。隐喻能力被视为学生语言学习过程中需要掌握的三大能力之一,培养并提升学生的隐喻能力是英汉教学中的重要一环。翻译过程需要吃透原文,不仅是要理解原文的文字信息,更重要的是理解文字背后的语境信息,在此基础上,进行思维转换。要达到此目的,具备一定的隐喻能力是避免学习中思维僵化的重要因素。本文简要介绍了隐喻能力,并试着探讨翻译教学中培养学生隐喻能力的各种因素。
Metaphor is an indispensable part of the language. This universal characteristic of metaphor determines that metaphors must be paid attention to in English teaching. Metaphor ability is regarded as one of the three abilities that students need to master in their language learning process. To develop and enhance their metaphorical ability is an important part of English-Chinese teaching. The translating process needs to understand the original text not only to understand the text information of the original text but more importantly to understand the contextual information behind the text. On this basis, the thinking is transformed. To achieve this goal, having some metaphorical ability is an important factor to avoid the rigid thinking in learning. This article briefly introduces metaphorical abilities, and tries to explore various factors that can be used to develop students’ metaphorical competence in translation teaching.
