Amateur archaeologists have discovered a ruined city that surely includes the four giant statues of ancient Egypt, the remains of the 140-foot Sphinx. However, the site was not in Egypt but in the sand dunes near Guadalupe, California, about 170 miles north of Los Angeles. These buildings and statues apparently shot large props used by Cecil B. Dimitrit in the 1923 epic Ten Commandments. Over 1,000 workers used 30 tons of gypsum and 500,000 feet of logs to help create a replica of the Egyptian temple.
