挫折对儿童的心理发展具有十分重要的意义。从积极的角度看,它可以增强儿童认识和解决问题的能力,引导儿童以更好的方法去满足需求,使其心理素质不断提高;从可能导致消极的方面看,如果儿童遭受挫折过多过大,则可能产生消极心理或反常行为。引起儿童挫折的原因是多种多样的,但总的来讲,不外乎是客观因素和主观因素两类。由客观因素引起的挫折叫环境起因的挫折,这是由于外界事物或情况阻碍儿童达到目标而产生的挫折。
