霰弹枪作为一种近战武器,有没有必要加装消声器,目前还是见仁见智的问题。由于霰弹发散形的弹道和易碎的弹托等特殊性,其消声器的设计相对比较复杂且消声效果并不理想,因此加装消声器的霰弹枪目前还非常少见。继2014年出现了第一款霰弹枪采用湿式消声器后,这应该算是第一款霰弹枪用干式消声器。从外形上看,该消声器比步枪消声器粗很多。为了能将其安装在UTS15霰弹枪上,枪管前端加工有螺纹,消声器外侧包裹有一层碳纤维材料,通过12颗螺钉固定在消声器表面。
