Yesterday afternoon， I went home by bike after school. When I passed the hospital， I saw a handbag lying on the ground， so I picked up it①.
Out of great wonder， I opened it and found there were② ￥800 and a mobile phone in it. I thought， “The owner of the bag must be worried without it.” So I went to the policeman on duty. With the help of him， I found the owner. When he got his handbag back， he thanked me again and again and asked， “What’s your name， please？” I answered with a smile， “It’s my pleasure. I’m just the③ league member and it’s my duty to do this.”
Although I went home late that day， but④ I felt very happy， because I did a good deed.
1. 优点：
对于一名初三学生来说，这是一篇很不错的习作。第一段描写了小作者在回家途中捡到一个手提包；第二段是文章的高潮部分，体现了小作者拾金不昧的精神和高尚情操；第三段点题。本文结构严谨，语言流畅，表达清晰，用词准确，过渡自然。
2. 需要修改的地方：
① picked up it改为picked it up。动词与副词搭配时，其代词宾语一定要置于副词之前。 ② were改为was。在英语中“钱”为不可数名词。
③ the改为a。根据上下文句意，此处不应为特指，因此应用不定冠词a。
④ 去掉but。在一个英语句子中although和but不能同时出现。
3. 评分：
按照中考英语作文满分20分的标准，本文修改前可得17分。
