新生儿是人类最易受感染的时期。基本上无菌的初生婴儿,出生后立即暴露于细菌世界,并受到无数细菌及其他微生物所接种。新生儿的防御机制尚未成熟,反应能力差,将细菌局限化的能力也弱,所以新生儿有发生传染病的高度危险。而且只有在疾病到达危重状态,才能作出临床诊断,死亡和严重并发症的危险性很大。在这些抵抗力都低的许多婴儿,同时暴露于相对类似的细菌环境中,就有发生感染播散或流行的可能,处理此种婴儿室流行病的问题,应着重在:1.什么因素引起。2.如何引起的。3.如何预防。4.流行期间如何控制。
