A new type of plastic film offers the hope of protecting teeth from decay, which is used to encase the most vulnerable parts of the tooth and thus prevent the intrusion of bacteria. Some dentists in the United States have called for the widespread use of this protective technique to protect children’s teeth. British counterparts are also very supportive of this.
