Q: What is Banshee? A: Banshee is 3Dfx’s first integrated 2D / 3D video Windows accelerator chip. Banshee combines a new 128-bit 2D core, 3Dfx’s 128-bit VGA, video pipeline and a 3D core from the company’s game logo Voodoo2. Banshee aims to deliver the best 2D and 3D performance with an integrated graphics processor. The most prominent feature of Banshee is compatible with a large number of 3D games, is expected to have 400 kinds of Christmas in 1998. Q. What does the new chip have to do with Voodoo Rush?
