The South American leaf blight caused by Microcyclus ulei (P. Henn.) Arx. Is the most devastating disease to the rubber tree of Brazil. The accidental introduction of the disease into the Eastern Hemisphere has become an insurmountable threat owing to the rapid airlift and the free movement of people.
