现实只有在历史映照下,才能发现自己的上下文,并清晰自己的坐标,确定自己的价值。1994年4月,中央美术学院画廊举办了傅中望、隋建国、张永见、展望、姜杰五位雕塑家名为“雕塑1994”的展览。18年之后,由湖北美术馆主办的“雕塑2012”与这个展览形成了一种对话、呼应和延续的关系。当我们将两个展览并置的时候,可以从中发现一条历史的脉络。这是一种绵延的生成,它们二者互为解释、互为印证、互相充实,生成出一种新的关于中国当代雕塑的解释系统。这两个展览的存在,为中国当代雕塑在过去和当下之间架起了一座艺术史的桥梁。
Only in the background of history can we find our own context and clearly define our own coordinates and determine our own value. In April 1994, the Central Academy of Fine Arts held an exhibition entitled “Sculpture 1994” by five sculptors named Fu Zhongwang, Sui Jianguo, Zhang Yong Jian, Prospect and Jiang Jie. After 18 years, “Sculpture 2012” hosted by Hubei Art Museum has formed a dialogue, echo and continuity with this exhibition. When we juxtapose the two exhibitions, we can find a context of history. This is a kind of long-term production. Both of them are mutual explanations, mutual proof and mutual enrichment, resulting in a new interpretation system about contemporary Chinese sculpture. The existence of these two exhibitions bridges the gap between contemporary and contemporary Chinese sculpture in the history of art.
