锦鸡儿别名土黄芪、金雀花,药用其根,根性平、味甘,微辛,具有祛风、活血、利湿利尿、止咳化痰等功效。1972年包头市防治慢性气管炎锦鸡儿协作组用其根煎煮治疗慢性气管炎420例,疗效达86.67%,并同时发现有减慢心率、降低血压,消除浮肿以及食欲睡眠改善等作用。我们在化学分离提取过程中,分离得到二种白色结晶,一为酸性物质,熔点184—185℃,与标准样品层析对照,配合红外光谱证实为琥珀酸,另一个白色结晶对茚三酮
