以“美国梦”为题材的文学创作在美国有着很长的历史,且产生了不少杰出的作品,如菲茨杰拉德的《了不起的盖茨比》、德莱塞的《美国的悲剧》等。本文通过黄玉雪的《华女阿五》与任璧莲的《典型的美国佬》的书写策略,探讨华裔在不同的历史语境下经历的两种不同的对“美国梦”的追求过程以及他们所遭遇的困境。
Literary creation based on the theme of “American Dream” has a long history in the United States and produced many outstanding works such as Fitzgerald “The Great Gatsby”, Dreiser’s “American Tragedy ”and so on. This article attempts to explore two different pursuits of “American Dream” experienced by Chinese in different historical contexts through the writing strategies of “Hua An Ah Wu” by Huang Yuxue and “Typical American Guy” by Ren Pilian The plight they encountered.
