2001年发布《英语新课程标准》,激起了新一轮英语教育教学的改革。英语教学中的四个要素:听、说、读、写应作何侧重,在这四会中要不要再加上翻译的知识技能呢?在许多教师的教学中确实引起了很大的反响。其实在英语教学中如果“首先认定它是一门语言;其次作为一门语言它应该尽到交际性的作用。那么,我们如何教英语就了然于胸了”。翻译在英语教学中既是教学手段,又是教学目的。其始终贯穿于英语教学之中。
