二千多年前,在塔克拉玛干东部水波浩淼的罗布泊西侧有一个繁荣的小国——楼兰。城内河渠纵横湖水荡漾,渔舟唱晚。当地的居民楼兰人,有着自己的语言、文字、法律、军队和文化。西汉时楼兰古城是丝绸之路的枢纽,东西方文化的交流之地,商业十分发达。然而,约在公元4世纪前后,这个王国却湮灭了。王国东部的罗布泊逐年萎缩,至今滴水全无,湖底朝天。历史上光彩夺目的楼兰王国与罗布泊,如今己被深埋在茫茫荒沙之中。
More than two thousand years ago, there was a flourishing small country, Loulan, west of Lop Nur in the east of Taklamakan. River ripples throughout the city waves, fishing boats sing night. The native Loulan people, with their own language, writing, law, army and culture.
