Aconite, a drug, was first published in the “Ben”. Aconite is a sub-root attached to Aconitum (mother root), hence the name Aconite. Therefore, Aconitum is the mother root and Aconite is the sub-root. Tian Xiong does not have the roots of aconite for Aconitum. The Aconitum and Fuzi supplied by pharmacies are actually one (Editor’s note: This is only done in Shanghai and in individual regions). The two drugs are divided into Aconitum and Aconite only because of the slightly different processing methods.
