英语虚拟语气在大时间尺度上呈萎缩趋势,是国内英语语法课程教学及英语考试中的一大难点。针对英语虚拟语气这一长期困扰广大师生教与学的英语语法模块,有必要从语法的语言工具属性和致用性目的角度出发,提出经实践证明较为有效的英语虚拟语气教学切入点:背景——英语虚拟语气的语言存在现象及其语法定义;手段——英语虚拟语气的语用表达载体;致用——绝对虚拟和相对虚拟的类别划分,以帮助提高英语虚拟语气课堂教学的效度。
English subjunctive mood is shrinking on a large time scale, which is a major difficulty in the teaching of English grammar and English examinations in the country. In the light of the English subjunctive, an English grammar module long plagued by teachers and students’ teaching and learning, it is necessary to put forward the effective point of English subjunctive teaching from the perspectives of linguistic tools and usability of grammar: background - the linguistic existential phenomenon of English subjunctive language and its grammatical definition; the means - the pragmatic expression carrier of English subjunctive mood; the classification of practical virtual-relative and virtual categories to help improve the validity of classroom teaching in English subjunctive .
